List of Top Ten Fastest Growing Businesses in China
Although Chinese GDP slowed in the last half of 2010, the country has maintained an average growth rate of about 10.2% since 2006, far outstripping growth in most Western economies. The fastest growing companies are listed here as the firms with the highest share price appreciation from market close on December 31, 2008 through October 20, 2010 on the Shanghai Composite Index.
Since January 1, 2009, out of the 870 components on the Shanghai Composite Index, 19 have experienced share price growth of over 500%, while 553 companies have seen share price growth above 100%. Over this period, the Shanghai Index is up 65%, while the NYSE Composite is up 29% and only one US stock, Ford Motor (+502.6%), can rival the share price appreciation of the fastest-growing Chinese companies. But even Ford would still only just barely crack the top 20.These companies on this list must also have a current share price above $3 (USD). All prices and market caps are displayed in US dollars.

Eventually, all things come to an end. Ruins of ancient cities are still being excavated all around the world. But, will our modern metropolises turn into ruins one day (or perhaps more recently)? How would that ruins look like? It’s not hard to guess how will Rome or Athens look like, but what about Dubai or New York? The artists have offered their ideas!

Arial View of Africa Look Beautiful
frica is the world's second-largest and second most-populous continent, after Asia. At about 30,221,532 km² (11,668,545 sq mi) including adjacent islands, it covers 6% of the Earth's total surface area, and 20.4% of the total land area. With more than 900 million people (as of 2005)[2] in 61 territories, it accounts for about 14% of the world's human population. The continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Suez Canal and the Red Sea to the northeast, the Indian Ocean to the southeast, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. There are 46 countries including Madagascar, and 53 including all the island groups.
Africa, particularly central eastern Africa, is widely regarded within the scientific community to be the origin of humans and the Hominidae tree (great apes), as evidenced by the discovery of the earliest hominids and their possible ancestors, as well as later ones that have been dated to around seven million years ago – including Sahelanthropus tchadensis, Australopithecus africanus, A. afarensis, Homo erectus, H. habilis and H. ergaster – with the earliest Homo sapiens (human) found in Ethiopia being dated to ca. 200,000 years ago.
Africa straddles the equator and encompasses numerous climate areas; it is the only continent to stretch from the northern temperate to southern temperate zones.[4] Because of the lack of natural regular precipitation and irrigation as well as glaciers or mountain aquifer systems, there is no natural moderating effect on the climate except near the coasts.

A green river in Canada!
Canada’s Goldstream River suddenly turned neon green.
Horrified nature lovers at Goldstream Provincial Park watched as the Goldstream River turned bright green. It happened on December 29, 2010. The waters of the river suddenly became neon green, and everyone passing by it rubbed their eyes to make sure what they were seeing wasn’t just an illusion.
After analyzing the neon green water, the local Environment Ministry said it was the result of a chemical called “fluorescein”. Neither the substance itself nor its products of degradation are toxic, and experts believe that fish and their habitat were not affected, judging by the concentration and flow rate of the river.
The chemical is usually used to trace leaks from septic tanks and water systems and can be bought online. Fluorescein is also used in medical diagnosis and guidelines warn it can cause reactions ranging from nausea and hives to death from anaphylactic shock...
